Also known as Garbanzo Beans, Chick Peas are a versatile ingredient that is very popular in Mediterranean and Indian dishes, Chick Peas can be added to salads, stews, soups chilis and casseroles. Combine pureed Chickpeas with tahini for a fibre full and high protein hummus. Low in calories, Chick Peas can help reduce blood sugar, decrease blood cholesterol and improve gut health.

Cooking Instructions:

Dried chickpeas should be soaked overnight. Throw away the soaking water, rinse the beans well , boil for 10 mins and then simmer for 45-60 minutes.
If you don’t have much time rinse and place in a pan of water covered with 2 inches of water. Bring to the boil and boil for 1 minute, remove from heat, cover and leave to soak for 1 hour. Rinse well and cook as normal.
